SPECIAL MEETING
NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that Allegheny County Council President Rich Fitzgerald has called a Special Meeting of Allegheny County Council scheduled for 5:00 PM Tuesday, July 29, 2008 in the Gold Room, 4th Floor of the Allegheny County Courthouse, 436 Grant Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
The purpose of the Meeting will be to discuss Bill No. 4208-08, entitled “An Ordinance of the County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania directing that an Ordinance be submitted by referendum question to the registered voters of the County on the November 2008 General Election ballot.”
The Bill directs the Allegheny County Board of Elections to place the following question on the November, 2008 Ballot:
“Shall the County enact an Ordinance to increase real estate taxes in order to repeal the alcoholic drink tax?”
Copies of the proposed Ordinance can be viewed or obtained from the Chief Clerk, Office of County Council, Room 119 Courthouse, 436 Grant Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15219, or on Council’s web site :www.county.allegheny.pa.us/council

Property tax and mortgage interest is deductable. These can be deducted from your regular income, leading to huge savings for you. The deductions are substantially more than the standard deduction allowed by the IRS.
Find a realtor who is willing to sit down and work with you. The real estate broker wants to help you because he or she is working toward a commission. Let the realtor know you are ready to buy and how much you can afford. He or she will find you the best deal for your investment.
Buying your own home is the foundation for building financial independence. Be proactive, take some action and change your financial future.
